Hi, I'm Al The Bathroom Guru. I created this site especially to talk about bathrooms. Strange as it is to say it, I'm passionate about bathrooms, and I'll tell you why. When I was a kid, my family went to restaurants a lot. Oftentimes, I was the only kid at a table of adults, and when hanging out with all those adults got boring, I went to the bathroom! I saw a lot of bathrooms in all kinds of different restaurants, from highway diners to 5-star hotels. I loved them all (the restaurants and the bathrooms).
Nowadays, I enjoy a home-cooked meal just as much or even more than a restaurant meal, but what's remained the same is my love for bathrooms. At the beginning of the day, my bathroom is a source of rejuvenation and motivation, and at the end of a long day there's nothing like unwinding in the bathroom with my wife and kids. My daughter was even born in our bathroom!
Sooner or later this love of using bathrooms turned into a love of building and remodeling bathrooms. Over the years I've learned to renovate all kinds of bathrooms, and that's really what this site is all about: bathroom remodeling and renovations.
Now any guru worth his/her weight in brushed nickel knows that no matter how much you know, there's always more to learn. And that's why this site is a culmination of knowledge from many different masters and contractors that I've met, worked with, and learned from along the way. I always give credit where credit is due. After all, I'm not The Bathroom Guru because I think I know more than everyone else, that would make me the Bathroom Snob. I'm The Bathroom Guru because of how much I love bathrooms!
